Manali-Bara Banghal Nomadic Trail : 14 Days
A trek that follows the ancient routes of the Gaddis - nomadic shepherds.
Tremendous views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges and deep
river valleys lush with meadows and forests.
Manali - Through the Great Himalayan National Park : 7 Treks
from 3-8 days*
The Great Himalayan National Park offers the trekker, naturalist
and wild life enthusiast numerous sightings of the diverse flora
and fauna within the state. Trails range from the leisurely to the
more strenuous and challenging. Set within a wealth of Oak, Conifer
and Bamboo interwoven with swift flowing rivers and high glaciers,
the Park has well defined trails and offers excellent views.
Manali-Shimla over the Bashleo Pass: 6 Days*
This trail diverts from the Banjar valley an off shoot of the main
Kullu valley into the warmer region of Rampur Bushair once a small
principality before India's independence. The trail goes through
Oak and Pine forests to descend to the banks of the River Sutlej
and the small town of Rampur gateway to the verdant valleys of Kinnaur.
Manali-Udaipur-Miyar Valley of flowers Trail: 7 Days*
This is one of the few treks in the Lahaul region that gives you
breathtaking walks through flower and wild herb strewn meadows and
silvery streams with towering mountains sustaining glistening glaciers
as a backdrop.
Manali - Padum over the Kang La via Miyar Valley: 11 Days*
Continuing on the Miyar Valley trail we ascend a vast glacial field
to reach the formidable Kang La pass and then descend into the Zanskar
valley. A technical trek it requires the use of ropes and ice axes
and crampons. An arduous trek but one with memorable views of the
Lahaul, Zanskar and Ladakh mountain peaks.
Manali - Chandertal Lake Trek - Baralacha Pass : 11 Days*
The trail leads out of Manali and ascending through luxuriant meadows
and thick alpine forests cross the Hampta Pass into the barren enchanting
landscape of Spiti. Here it spills over on to the state highway
and then diverts to a large hidden mountain lake - The Lake of the
Moon (Chandertal). It eventually ends on the main Manali-Leh highway
at the Baralacha La pass.
Manali- Padum (Zanskar) over the Shingo La : 11 Days*
This popular trail is one of the shortest ways into the isolated
Zanskar valley. Starting from northern Lahaul the trek crosses the
Shingo La Pass and descends into the stark Zanskar region with its
few and far between villages appearing like green oasis' with surprisingly
fertile fields growing barely and peas.
Manali-Lamayuru over the Shingo la: 22 Days*
This is a continuation of the previous trail and goes farther north
crossing seven mountain passes across the very heart of Zanskar.
Ancient monasteries and very few villages are encountered on this
trek exposing you to the silence and grandeur so particular of these
mountains.
Manali-Kaza-Pin Valley-Bhabha Pass - Kinnaur: 8 Days*
The first stage of this trek is by road on Jeeps to the small town
of Kaza in Spiti valley and then into the Pin Valley. From here
the trail leads south over the Bhabha Pass and spills over into
the luxuriant Kinnaur Valley famous for its fruit orchards and friendly
inhabitants. The landscape changes drastically from one of hi-altitude
cold deserts to rich green river valleys.
Manali-Kaza-Kibber-Tso Moriri & Tso Kar Lakes in Ladakh
- Option 1: 19 Days
This enchanting trek leads out of Spiti valley into the sweeping
Changthang plateau in the Rupshu valley of Ladakh. Dotted with emerald
green and sapphire blue lakes, this vast plain also sustains and
amazing variety of mammals and migratory birds. The Tso Moriri and
Tso Kar are large salt water lakes ringed by smooth barren mountains
that attract the rays of the sun to transform their flanks into
a spectacle of different colours ranging from deep vermillion to
beige to striking purple and mauve to burnished gold. The trek ends
at the Manali Leh Highway from where a jeep takes one to Leh over
the second highest motorable road in the world.
Manali-Kaza-Kibber-Tso Moriri Lake -Option 2: 15 days
This trek is the same as the previous one but does not take in the
Tso Kar lake but continues on to Leh by road from the village of
Karzok on the northern shores of the Tso Moriri.
Manali-Kaza-Dhankar Trail - 8 Days*
This trail also leads out of Kaza and continues over a high ridge
overlooking the vast Spiti River basin and crossing a couple of
passes emerges at the ancient and famous Dhankar monastery east
of Kaza town and above the confluence of the Pin and Spiti Rivers.
